Evi 3.2.0
New
- Evi fixes itself without an update. When a Discord update breaks part of Evi, Evi's team can now send the fix straight to your Evi, usually within minutes, with no new version to install and no restart.
Improved
- Fixes for plugins can fix how they look too, not just what they do, so a plugin Discord's update made look wrong gets fixed the same way.
v3.1.x

Fixed
- Plugin cards line up again. Cards next to each other are the same height, with their buttons on one line, even when a badge wraps under a long name.
Fixed
- Plugins aren't called broken just because you haven't opened something yet. Some parts of Discord only load the first time you open them, like a call's chat, and Pop Out Chat said it was broken until you did.
New
- Know when Discord breaks your plugin. If you publish plugins, your Inbox now tells you the first time a version of one has trouble on people's Discord, with what failed: which patch and why, what it couldn't find, or the error it stopped with. The Author page lists the same, with how many installs report each.
- All your plugins side by side. The Author page opens on every plugin you publish, with active installs, growth, rating and crash rate, sorted the way you pick. Pick one to see its own numbers.
- Download a plugin's source from the Author page into a folder you pick: Evi's own plugins from Evi's repository, others as the store has them.
Improved
- Fewer plugins wrongly marked broken. Some parts of Discord only load the first time you use them, like search. A plugin waiting for one of those is no longer reported as broken.
- The Inbox has pages, so a long list of notifications isn't one long scroll.
v3.0.x

2 releases

New
- Find Evi in Discord's settings search. Searching Discord's settings now finds Evi's pages, your plugins and every plugin setting, and takes you straight to the one you pick.
- Plugins that aren't working say so. A plugin that couldn't start, broke with a Discord update or was reported broken gets a red or amber edge and a note under its name saying what's wrong, and the Plugins tab tells you how many aren't working.
Improved
- Evi Setup on Mac asks for permission first. If macOS hasn't let Evi Setup change Discord yet, it tells you before installing, with a button to the right setting, instead of failing halfway.
- Evi Setup on Mac offers to move itself to Applications, so Spotlight, Launchpad and Raycast can find it.
Fixed
- Evi stays in Discord on Mac after Discord updates. Discord's bigger Mac updates replace the whole app, and Evi was gone until you ran Evi Setup again. Evi now moves into the new Discord as soon as it's in place.
New
- Lower memory. A new switch in the Performance tab: Discord keeps less spare memory for its code, and on Windows, while Discord's window is hidden and you're not in a call, it can give memory back to your other apps. Off until you turn it on.
- Memory by window. The Performance tab now shows what Discord's window, its Activities and other windows, and its graphics each use, so an Activity that's still running shows up.
Improved
- Evi takes up less of Discord. Evi loads only your language, What's new loads when you open it, popped-out windows and the in-game overlay no longer run all of Evi, and Evi's own code is kept in half the memory.
- Smaller updates. An Evi update downloads about a quarter of what it did.
- Plugins hold on to less. Message Logger keeps small copies of the images it saves, Last Seen writes to disk far less often, Look Inside forgets old zip listings, and Pretty Notifications closes its hidden window when it isn't needed.
- Collectibles and Sparks are gone. Evi's nameplates, decorations, profile effects and Sparks have been retired.
Fixed
- The Plugins page doesn't break anymore when you close a plugin's settings after searching for one of them.
- Link your account and Link your account to follow work again. They did nothing when you clicked them.
- Clear URLs keeps your formatting. A cleaned link at the end of a spoiler, a masked link or a sentence lost its closing ||, bracket or full stop.
- Evi Setup puts Discord back if something goes wrong. An install or removal that failed partway could leave Discord without its files, or closed.
- Community themes can't load anything from other sites, even through links written to slip past the check.
- And more than 70 smaller fixes across Evi, Evi Setup and the plugins.
v2.5.x
October 20, 2026
3 releases

Fixed
- Evi stays in Discord after Discord updates. Discord now installs its updates while it starts and restarts straight into them, and Evi could miss the new version and be gone until you ran Evi Setup again. Evi now moves into a new Discord version as soon as it's written.
Fixed
- Activities load again while you wear an Evi decoration. Games like Farm Merge Valley got stuck loading, because Discord passed your Evi decoration on to them. Activities now see your regular Discord decoration.
New
- Evi collectibles. Painted nameplates, avatar decorations and profile effects that everyone using Evi sees on you, starting with Sakura River and Snowed-In Cabin. Find them in the new Evi tab of Discord's Shop, and wear them from Discord's own pickers when you edit your profile.
- Sparks. Evi's own currency for collectibles. Redeem codes from the Evi team, and supporters get Sparks every month.
- Two new plugins. Pop Out Chat opens any chat in its own window, and Look Inside shows what's in a zip before you download it and warns you about programs and disguised files.
Improved
- Your collectibles stay private from Discord. Evi keeps them out of Discord's analytics and out of what Discord's app sends, so they don't tell Discord you use Evi.
Fixed
- Pop-ups from Evi and plugins show again. Discord changed how it shows them, and they had gone silent.
- Plugins start reliably on Discord's newest versions. For a moment while Discord started, Evi could look for Discord's code in the wrong place.
v2.4.x
October 8, 2026
2 releases

Fixed
- Game Mode is back in the Performance tab. Discord changed its Game Mode, and Evi's switch had disappeared.
New
- Three new plugins. Boot Sequence turns Discord's loading window into a live boot log, Pretty Notifications shows notifications as cards you can reply from without opening Discord, and Tray Menu Plus puts your status, recent DMs, mute and deafen on Discord's tray icon. All in the store, all off until you turn them on.
Fixed
- Evi doesn't switch itself off anymore. Opening Discord while it was already running, from its icon or a Discord link, counted as a start that failed. After a few of those, Discord started once without Evi. Now only real starts count.

Evi 2.3.0
Fixed
- Evi stays after Discord updates, even if you shut down your PC. Discord installs its updates while it's open, and Evi moved into the new version only when Discord closed. Shutting down or restarting Windows with Discord open skipped that, so Discord started without Evi. Now Evi moves in as soon as the update is installed.
v2.2.x
October 5, 2026
2 releases

Fixed
- Nothing of Evi's in Discord's new in-game overlay. Discord's newer overlay opens as its own window over your game, and Evi loaded in it, wallpaper included. Now it stays out, like it does in the old overlay.
Fixed
- Updates follow your settings. When Evi's team says an update is needed, Evi only downloads it and restarts Discord by itself if you have automatic updates on. Otherwise it tells you and waits until you press Update now. Plugins come along only if you have plugin auto-update on.
